“…Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter

Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun

Here comes the sun, and I say

It's all right…"

If you haven’t already seen to forecast for tomorrow the sun will be out; the temperatures look to be in the low 40’s and winds will be light; it's time to ride.  So; ths evening's tip is GETTING TAGGED and TAGGED.

Once you've arrived at Westmoreland Middle School (5176 NY-233, Westmoreland, NY 13490) on Saturday -- NO LATER THAN 9:15 -- unload your "pre-pumped tires; brakes checked and moving parts lubed" bike; place your pre-filled water bottles in your cages; pump your tires; make sure your saddle bag is on the bike and that you have your ID and gloves in the back pocket of your jersey. Your shades ARE on your face; yes? Your Road ID is on your wrist, or ankle or hanging around your neck; Yes?

Now; walk your bike over to a registration volunteer and let them scan your QR code.  Once your QR code Is scanned; (you've been "Tagged" - as in you're it) you will receive a name tag for your saddle and a couple zip ties to install it( Now you've been “Tagged" literally). WE KNOW YOU'RE "HERE" AND WE KNOW YOUR NAME.

Head back to the car -- IF YOU NEED TO USE A BATHROOM; NOW IS THE TIME. THE SCHOOL BATHROOMS SHOULD BE OPEN AND, IF NOT, THERE IS A MINI-MART NEARBY. UNSURE; ASK FOR HELP. -- once that's taken care of; grab and put on any clothing you may want for the ride - light jacket; glove liners, etc. Put on your bike shoes, if they'r not already on. If you haven't done so already; put some sunblock and lip balm on; slip your lip balm and snacks in your pocket; make sure your tube and levers and CO2 cartridge or pump are on the bike or stashed in your saddle bag or another back pocket.

NOW;  put your helmet on your noggin and fasten the buckle. PLEASE NOTE: EVERY TIME A BELL RINGS AND ANGEL MAY GET THEIR WINGS... BUT YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR BELL RUNG. SO; EVERY TIME YOU THROW YOUR LEG OVER THE SADDLE; YOUR HELMET MUST BE ON.

If you' have all your stuff; lock your car, put your keys in your saddle bag or another safe spot and assemble in front of the school. Your shades are still on you face; yes? Your water bottles are on the bike and your tires as pumped; Yes?

Now; feel free to meet and greet your teammates as we prepare for the pre-ride briefing.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS; SEEK YE OUT A PERSON IN ORANGE. These are our shepherd and we'll help you with answers and suggestions.  We'll take it from there.

ONE LAST REQUEST: WE HAVE MUCH TO DO AND NEW TECHNOLOGY TO DIAL IN...PLEASE BE PATIENT -- AND PLEASANT -- WITH, AND TO, US AND THANK OUR REGISTRATION VOLUNTEERS AND SAG CREWS!

Remember everyone; this is fun. Relax and enjoy the moments.

 Take us out George:

"...Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting

Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun

Here comes the sun, and I say

It's all right…

…It’s all right." (Short instrumental riff to closing chord.)
